The salt block form was projected onto with layered footage of the Bushkill River which runs directly below the gallery floor. A motion detector activated the projection. b. The video 'Nunca Solos/Always Alone' was shown as a small projection in the gallery lobby. This work is a sequel to the 2011 video 'Siempre Solos/Never Alone' which was included in the first iteration of the installation 'Posuelocation.' c. A chorus of chamber singers, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Kelly, performed a vocal piece three times during the exhibition opening. Justiss, a virtually homeless poet who produced tens of thousands of pages of poetry using manual typewriters during the last 20 years of his life, believed that the academic and literary worlds would take note of his contributions only after his death, which occurred on valentine's Day of 2011. The calendars pictured were essentially journal pages where Justiss kept detailed notes of visits from friends and admirers, gifts of food, beer, and cigarettes, and important happenings of the day. The pages of poetry that have survived his transitional lifestyle, when stacked in a single column, stand 7 feet tall. One stack of pages in particular shows the effect of Justiss' life on his work in the form of a roach-eaten recess several pages deep. Each boat rests on a bed of granulated salt, and all are oriented toward a barren land mass produced by cleaving blocks of salt and placing the broken pieces in a grid arrangement so they resemble a topographic map of a forbidding place. Bread and sails have a great deal in common. Both are full of air, and both represent a kind of hope. The work occupies the same space as viewers of the work, at once completely present and invisible. Viewers are confronted with the need to either cautiously or clumsily navigate the space.
